How to Improve a Slow VPN Connection

The biggest gain comes from turning Multi-hop off (Settings → VPN). By default your traffic passes through an extra relay: slower, but the exit node never sees your real IP address. Without it you connect to the exit directly and gain speed — at the cost of exactly that layer of privacy. If privacy matters more, leave Multi-hop on and look for speed elsewhere.

Also try another location (closer is usually faster) or Random — throughput depends on the individual node, not only on the country. If you enabled filters in Pro mode, switch back to Lite: very large domain lists slow down connecting and load the device.
