Mining
How to Start Mining
Mining in RaccoonLine works differently from Bitcoin: there is no hash grinding and no special hardware. You run a full network node — part of the network traffic passes through your device, and the node verifies signatures and chain data, earning ROCC in return.
It does use some CPU, network and disk, most noticeably while the chain is downloading, but far less than classic mining.
To start, open the wallet and press Start mining. The app warns you that it will download the full chain and, once you confirm, starts working right away — no restart needed.
You need a permanent internet connection and a lot of free space: the device stores a full copy of the chain, which keeps growing (plan for at least 50–60 GB, more together with file storage). To stop, press Stop mining — the downloaded chain data is removed.
